This Spring, Mace will be understudying Adam 2 in the Second Stage Theater production of On The Evolutionary Function of Shameby D.A. Mindell, directed by Jess McLeod.
Texas Born and Raised, New York Based
Mace earned his BFA in Theater from Southern Methodist University. While at school, Mace also found a love for theater research. He's an Engaged Learning Fellow '23 (The Gaga/Theatre Project) and was accepted to the National Conference for Undergraduate Research '23 (Gender Conditioning and Performance). As a result of his research, Mace created LINO- a one person show about identity, love, and the trans experience. Mace is proud to be a transgender actor and grateful to share his story through this show. LINO was apart of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Theater East's 2023 Season in NYC.
Since moving to New York in October 2023, he has been apart of workshop readings for plays by Riley Elton McCarthy, including I'm Going To Eat You Alive and Frog Dinner. Additionally, Mace has played Adam 2 in the Columbia University production of On The Evolutionary Function of Shame, and Romeo in the Boomerang Theater summer production of Romeo and Juliet in Central Park. If you have a good eye, you can even spot Mace in feature film A Complete Unknown.
Mace is also a filmmaker His most recent work, Shedding, included Reiko Aylesworth on the producing team.
